Information

The Wildhorse Lake Campground is located only five kms off of Highway 16 and very close to Jasper National Park. Many people use this campground as a base for day trips into Jasper. There are 19 campsites with vehicle access and three campsites that are walk-in tenting sites. There are 15 sites available for reservations and seven on a first-come, first-served basis. Beautiful mountain views.

Activities

Enjoy fishing for rainbow trout in this small mountain lake in a non-motorized or electric-powered boat. There are non-maintained hiking trails around the main lake. This lake is also a very popular lake to ice fish in the winter.

How to Get Here

This campground is located in the Wildhorse Lake Provincial Recreation Area about 20 km west of Hinton on Highway 16 turn right, then 5 km in on a gravel road.

Fees

$25/night. $10 reservation fee.
