Information
West Fraser built the campground on the Nakota Sioux Nation’s Cardinal River reserve to strengthen relations and discourage random camping on the land. The campground offers beautiful views of mountains and meadows and allows ATV/OHV use. Sites can be reserved and there are some first-come, first-serve sites available.
How to Get Here
There are different ways to get to the Cardinal River Campground.
From Hinton, take the Robb Haul Road; then at kilometre marker 33, turn right onto Pembina River Road. At approximately kilometre marker 98, turn right onto the Cardinal River Road (Grave Flats). The campground is in approximately 8 km, then turn left.
From Edson, take Highway 16 to Highway 47 for around 100 km (which turns into Highway 734). Turn right onto the Cardinal River Road; the campground is about 40 km away. The legal location is (52.8807, -117.02271).

Fees
$20/night. $185/night Group Rate. $10 reservation fee.
