How to get there: There are different ways to get to the Cardinal River Campground. From Hinton, take the Robb Haul road then at km marker 33 turn right onto the Pembina River Road, At approximately km marker 98, turn right onto the Cardinal River Road (Grave Flats). The campground is approx 8 km then turn left. From Edson, take highway 16 to highway 47 for around 100kms (which turns into highway 734). Turn right onto the Cardinal River Road the campground is about 40km. Legal Location would be (52.8807, -117.02271)

Info: The campground was built by West Fraser on the Nakota Sioux Nation’s Cardinal River reserve to help build relations. The camp is to help deter random camping on their reserve. From the campground there is beautiful mountains and meadows, there is also ATV/OHV usage within the campground. There are sites for reservation and sites for first come first-serve
