Giving Where We Live & Work

At West Fraser, we give where we live and operate to help build healthy, resilient communities. Through our community investment program, we help make a meaningful difference one partnership at a time.

Are you a charitable organization, institution or initiative working to strengthen your community? Learn more about how we make our funding decisions and apply below.

Applying for Funding

We receive numerous requests for funding each year. Unfortunately, we are not able to support every request. Priority is given to projects and initiatives that serve the communities within close proximity to our operations and align with our five key pillars.

Before applying, please review the funding guidelines below to ensure your project or initiative is eligible. Applications are prioritized based on program criteria and other factors, and therefore it is not possible to fund all applications received.

  • Have projects that include planned outcomes, supported by measurement
  • Have audited financial statements, sound financial practices and/or a sustainable funding model
  • Submit a written request for funding that aligns with West Fraser’s five key investment pillars
  • Have a primary mission that is non-sectarian, non-religious, non-denominational, non-discriminatory and non-political
