Big Berland Campground

Information
The campground is in a mature spruce area and is situated on the Big Berland river. There are 18 un-serviced sites with a few of them backing onto the river, where anglers can enjoy fishing. Of these 18 sites, nine sites are reservation only and nine sites are first-come, first-serve. Nearby, there is a user maintained equestrian staging area, which has access to the Willmore Wilderness Park.
Please note, horses are not allowed in the campground. Equestrian areas are available across from this campground, as well as in the Rock Lake and Whitehorse Campgrounds.
How to Get Here
Big Berland Campground is in the Big Berland Provincial Recreation Area. From the west end of Hinton travel east for approximately six kilometres and then turn north onto Highway 40. Follow Highway 40 for approximately 75 kilometres until the highway crosses the Berland River. Turn left onto the road just after having passed over the bridge. Follow this road about 1 km to the campground. Signs are visible along highway pointing to campground.
Approaching from the north, from the east side of Grande Cache, follow Highway 40 for 62 km to the turnoff to the campground immediately before crossing the Berland River bridge.
Fees
$20/night. $15/night Senior's Rate. $10 reservation fee.
