Active Engagements

West Fraser Mills Ltd. has proposed an amendment 3 to Forest Stewardship Plan #651 for the Lakes Timber Supply Area. The amendment proposes to include an additional Result and Strategy for the Objectives set for Visual Quality within Scenic areas to address areas that are impacted by large scale natural disturbances, such as wildfire, where the salvage of stands with >70% dead and damaged timber will result in an alteration that will not achieve the visual quality objective for the Scenic Area.

The proposed amendment is available for review and comment at the West Fraser Mills office, located at 1250 Brownmiller Road in Quesnel, from June 11, 2025, to August 11, 2025. People may review the plan at this location during the business hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
