Talent Acquisition Manager

West Fraser is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Manager to join our U.S. Human Resources team. This role leads full-cycle recruiting for salaried positions across our mill, plant, and corporate operations while helping strengthen our employer brand, hiring processes, and candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Manager partners closely with hiring leaders, HR teams, and business stakeholders to attract, assess, and secure talent aligned with West Fraser’s operational and leadership needs. This position is based at West Fraser’s U.S. Corporate Headquarters in Cordova, Tennessee, and reports to the GM, U.S. HR Operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for salaried positions across West Fraser’s 24 mill and plant locations, as well as corporate offices in Cordova, Tennessee and Greenville, North Carolina.
  • Partner with hiring managers, Regional HR leaders, and local HR representatives to define talent needs, align on candidate profiles, and support effective hiring decisions.
  • Provide guidance and support to mill HR teams related to hourly recruiting practices in their local markets.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified talent across a range of functional, operational, and leadership roles.
  • Manage the recruiting lifecycle from intake and sourcing through screening, interviewing, offer development, and pre-hire onboarding coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines using the HRIS, applicant tracking tools, online recruiting platforms, and other sourcing channels.
  • Design and support employer branding initiatives that strengthen West Fraser’s presence in the market and increase awareness among target talent populations.
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and a well-managed recruitment process.
  • Track, analyze, and share recruiting metrics and scorecards to support data-driven decisions, process visibility, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement improvements in attraction, screening, selection, and recruitment operations to increase efficiency and hiring effectiveness.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, Affirmative Action, and OFCCP requirements.
  • Support immigration-related employment documentation processes in partnership with internal stakeholders and established company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • 5–7 years of recruiting experience in manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments.
  • Strong experience managing multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build credibility and work effectively with leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and online recruiting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of employment-related compliance requirements and hiring best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience recruiting within wood products, paper products, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience with UKG or a similar applicant tracking or HRIS platform.
  • Experience supporting employer branding initiatives and recruiting process improvement efforts.
