System Administrator
We are seeking a modern Systems Administrator to support and evolve our core IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and reliable systems while driving automation and continuous improvement.
Systems Administrator
You will work across enterprise platforms including servers, cloud services, identity systems, and networking, ensuring high availability and performance of business-critical services.
In this role, you will work within our Datacenter and Operations team supporting a wide variety of initiatives and collaborate regularly with other departments. This position will report directly to the Operational Technology Manager.
You Will Do:

Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise platforms

Manage virtualization, storage, and backup system
-
Maintain and support privileged remote access systems and vendor relationship

Manage, design and deploy IP camera system
-
Maintain endpoint systems, authentication services, and access control

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning

Support Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service

Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls and endpoint protection

Participate in security incident response and remediation
-
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and connectivity issue

Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedure

Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or equivalent tool

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver IT service

Support the corporate security team on both reactive and proactive security remediation tasks and projects
You Have:

Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure
-
Familiarity with Azure and cloud-based services
-
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
-
Experience supporting complex, multi-system environments
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience working within manufacturing or wood products manufacturing
- Storage and backup solutions (SAN, enterprise backup tools)
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell)
- Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies
- Certifications (Microsoft, Azure, or security-related)
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field
- Equivalent experience considered
What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 may vary depending on location, education, and relevant experience.

Work Conditions:
- 100% Office-based
- May require some evening and weekend work for system maintenance and updates
- May require occasional travel for conferences or vendor meetings
- May require travel to remote locations for system upgrades
- Flexibility to participate in planning sessions and change windows outside regular business hours
Occasional evening and weekend coverage for system related service disruptions and security events will be required for this position. Occasional travel within Canada and to the United States may also be required.
