Looking to build real‑world sales experience with one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers? West Fraser is a leading diversified forest products company, and we’re excited to welcome a motivated Summer Student to our Panel Sales team.

This is a great opportunity for a student who enjoys working with people, is curious about how products move across North America, and wants hands‑on exposure to sales, customer relationships, and commercial operations.

About the Role:

As a Panel Sales Summer Student, you’ll support our North American Sales team with day‑to‑day activities that help drive customer service, market insight, and sales execution. You’ll learn the fundamentals of panel products, gain exposure to customer interactions, and contribute to projects that support our sales strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the sales team with customer communication, order updates, and product inquiries.
  • Help track market activity and gather insights from customers and internal teams.
  • Support forward‑selling activities by coordinating with logistics and mill staff.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and data updates to support sales planning.
  • Participate in team meetings and learn how sales decisions are made in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Contribute to special projects that help improve processes or customer experience.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (Business, Commerce, Operations, Marketing, or related fields an asset).
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in working with people.
  • Curiosity about sales, operations, or the forest products industry — no prior experience required.
  • Comfort working with data and learning new systems.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
