Sales Representative - Junior - Maternity Leave Coverage -18 months

Our downtown Toronto office has an opening for an:

Panel Sales Representative (Junior) – 18‑Month Maternity Leave Contract)

Reporting to the Manager of North American Sales, the Junior Panel Sales Representative supports our panel sales team with the goal of maximizing sales returns and mill margins. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, organized, and motivated to build a career in sales within the forest products industry.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with an established North American customer base. 
  • Support forward‑selling activities by coordinating with mill staff and logistics teams. 
  • Assist in implementing sales strategies that support margin optimization. 
  • Stay current on market conditions by engaging with customers, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding panel availability, pricing, and product information. 
  • Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required. 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post‑secondary education. 
  • Interest in the forest products, building materials, or manufacturing sectors; knowledge of panel or lumber markets is an asset but not required. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan, execute, and report on sales activities. 
  • A self‑motivated, collaborative mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • High attention to detail and a results‑oriented approach. 
  • A commitment to honesty, integrity, and professional conduct. 
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
