Quality Control Supervisor

Here’s What You’ll Do:

    • Monitor and make improvements to all optimized machine centers.
    • Lead improvement efforts through collaboration with internal resources, OEM suppliers, and maintenance teams, to ensure Key Process Indicators (Scorecard) are on target.
    • Perform Product simulations to optimize production and value in collaboration with the sales department.
    • Check, report, and improve mill product distribution and flow. Monitor recovery and trends.
    • Implement and perform efficiency studies related to the overall process.
    • Oversee and perform quality checks in sawmill, Kilns and Planer Mill including residuals.
    • React quickly to identify process and quality anomalies.
    • Supervise contract saw filing and in-house guide dressing.
    • Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

    What You Will Need:

    • 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent experience desired.
    • Lumber grading certification is desired.
    • Experience in Lumber Manufacturing.
    • Supervision experience
    • Computer electronics and OEM equipment controls knowledge.
    • Understanding scanning, optimization, and wood processing.
    • In-depth knowledge of individual optimized machine centers.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated computer skills.
    • Demonstrated math and reading comprehension skills.
    • Willingness to acquire additional education/training to stay up on technological advancements.
