Program Specialist
We are currently seeking a Program Specialist to join the Sales, Marketing & Logistics team in person in our corporate office located in downtown Toronto.
This role will collaborate closely with the Sales and Logistics teams to enhance and optimize programs ensuring cost-effective, efficient product movement from our facilities to our customers. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, analytical, detail driven and committed to continuous improvement. Success in this role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
- Contribute within a collaborative team environment to develop and create strategies to optimize West Fraser’s Supply and Operations Planning (SNOP) Process and support margin optimization.
- Use data analytics to build track and report in a group setting on performance metrics and manage KPIs for key customer consignment and vendor-managed programs.
- Partner with Sales, Analytics, Logistics and Product management teams to maintain high service levels across all customer segments.
- Design, refine and implement systems that strengthen inventory management and programs performance while supporting key customer relationships.
What You Will Have:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Logistics, Operations or a related discipline is preferred
- Experience in Forest products, Building materials, or Manufacturing – ideally OSB or Structural panels – is an asset
- Knowledge of production planning and allocation.
- Experience working within modern supply chain related ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables, and forecasting and scenario planning
- Attention to detail is an important qualification, i.e weekly inventory reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset
- Experience in establishing metrics, measuring productivity and driving success through business process optimization.
- A detail-oriented focused team player who will collaborate with other departments to complete projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - Comfort with public speaking is required
- Community leadership or mentoring experience
- Spanish or French language skills considered an asset
What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position is $70,000 - $83,000, may vary depending on education, and relevant experience.
