Operating Apprentice 1

 What you will do:

• Operate all equipment associated with job functions
• Unhang boards, strips and anything else that may get hung up
• Monitor and straighten boards on all lumber chains
• Investigate down mill time and offer assistance
• Assist/Train co-workers on other equipment
• Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as scheduled or required.
• Perform PMs
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to access and work in high levels
• Ability to follow directions and learn all required duties
• Average or above mechanical skills
• Must be available to work any shift, as needed
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Good communication skills
• Good attendance and safety record
• Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
