This role ensures accurate finished goods tagging, inventory valuation, and shipment transactions that directly support mill operations, supply chain execution, and financial reporting.

Reporting to the Application Support Supervisor, Inventory Management Systems, this role works closely with mill operations, ERP teams, integration teams and business stakeholders as part of a small, highly accountable technology support team enabling reliable, consistent business operations.

This role has primary accountability to own and support the operational reliability and integrity of inventory tagging and tracking processes by:

  • Minimizing production and shipping disruptions related to tagging or system issues
  • Maintaining high levels of trust in inventory data used for valuation, reporting, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support daily inventory, tagging, and shipment transaction across multiple manufacturing locations
  • Act as a primary contact for IMS- and tagging-related user issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve transaction failures, data discrepancies, and system errors involving Tag Manager, JD Edwards, and integrated systems.
  • Provide support and escalation assistance to local mill users and IT teams
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring incidents, inventory inaccuracies, or integration failures
  • Collaborate with ERP, integration, and development teams to remediate defects and prevent recurrence
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by ensuring transaction continuity, completeness, and reconciliation across systems
  • Serve as a functional, subject-matter expert for finished goods tagging and inventory tracking processes
  • Support barcode scanning, label printing, and mobile inventory tracking tools used in production and shipping environments
  • Partner closely with mill operations, shipping, logistics, and finance teams to resolve issues impacting physical-to-system inventory alignment
  • Support application enhancements and business process improvements related to tagging, inventory tracking, and data flows
  • Participate in functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features, bug fixes, and system upgrades
  • Support deployment of IMS capabilities to new mills, business unites, or process areas
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to address adoption, usability, and process design considerations
  • Maintain and enhance application support documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Support user training sessions and onboarding activities
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing to ensure application resilience

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field 9or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting ERP or inventory management systems in a manufacturing or inventory-intensive environment
  • Hands-on experience high-volume transactional systems with strict data integrity requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application, data, and integration issues
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain effective and professional in fast-paced, production-critical environments
  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Prior experience supporting warehouse technologies such as barcode scanners, label printers, and mobile devices is highly preferred
  • Exposure to inventory reconciliation and period-end close support activities
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing or distribution sites
  • Knowledge of warehouse automation or material handling technologies is a benefit
  • Experience supporting application implementations or multi-site rollouts.
