Management Accountant
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Management and preparation of weekly site KPI reports;
- Management and preparation of month end and year end tasks;
- Monitor various capital project spend and post-completion reviews;
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis;
- Site compliance with, and testing of, SOX and company internal controls;
- Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts;
- Planning, testing and implementation of European finance systems;
- Training and support within the European finance team; and
- Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc financial requirements.
Experience
Essential
- Qualified finance professional with a proven track record of success within a similar, challenging role;
- Strong relationship builder who will challenge and collaborate with open, honest and confident communication;
- Experienced in relationship management, working with financial and non-financial stakeholders;
- A dynamic, driven and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced international business environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment;
- A positive fit with the West Fraser culture, demonstrating excellent people skills and high levels of engagement and energy;
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills;
- Work on own initiative and manage own time effectively; and
- Advanced excel skills - ability to manipulate data for financial analysis
Desirable experience
- Operating within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Use of Microsoft Dynamics AX;
- Product costing; and
- Running SOX and internal control audits.
