Electrical Supervisor
The Electrical Supervisor will maintain the facility in both safety and machinery; follow up with all issues in a timely manner; be able to work well with all members of management and act accordingly. The Electrical Supervisor will be in constant communication with the area managers about issues or needs and prioritize them to fit the needs of the company.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be self-directed, and be confident in their decision-making abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capable of supporting troubleshooting & observations of machine centers with shift supervisors and other support staff to ensure production and quality standards are met
- Managing the department cost in an aggressive manner assuring optimum manufacturing unit cost; develop and educate key metrics
- Safety of the crew (Lock-Out Procedures, assisting with and verifying Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA), Safety Audits)
- Perform and maintain counseling and coaching sessions along with performance evaluations for each direct report
- Schedule and assign daily tasks
- Work closely with the mill Planner to schedule electrical maintenance for the plant and set up and maintain a preventative maintenance plan.
- Support production & maintenance to ensure a quality panel is produced while maintaining a competitive cost.

Supervise a team of electricians on a daily basis; perform evaluations, counseling and coaching sessions as needed for each member.

Qualifications
- BS Degree with 5+ years of manufacturing experience or 10 years of manufacturing management experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Background in Electrical fundamentals
- Must have knowledge in 3 phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting of such systems.
- Experience with 480-volt power and logic circuits; Experience working with high and low voltages
- Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills
- Must be able to understand and follow electrical schematics proficiently without supervision
- Familiar with Allen Bradley products, VFD Drives, Soft Starters, and HMI’s
- Experience with PLC 5 and Control Logix Plc platforms
- Experience with communication network protocols: ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet
- Familiar with machine control systems; ability to troubleshoot issues
- Identify the features and functions of controllers
- Describe and compare pneumatic and electronic controllers
- Identify the signal path through a control circuit
- Willing and able to work on an emergency call-in basis when required
- Must be self-motivated, honest and have high ethical standards
- Possess strong team building, communication, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in use of personal computers and MS Office Suite are required
- Is willing to work flexible hours based on business needs
