Accounts Payable Clerk
West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Sundre Forest Products Division is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The position reports to the Financial Controller.
You'll Do:
- Enter accounts payable into Oracle Financials
- Ensure invoices and cheque requests are adequately supported and approved
- Review account coding and correct any miscoding
- Ensure the accuracy of sales tax (GST and PST) and identify and calculate self-assessments where required
- Match invoices to approval batches
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Provide month-end accounting support
- General office Administration duties
- Preparation of bank deposits
- Act as backup for Payroll Analyst and/or Loggers Pay
You have:
- Post-secondary training in administration or accounting, or 1 to 2 years' of experience in a similar role
- Experience in Oracle accounts payable is an asset
- High degree of accuracy with numbers and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing workloads and tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel skills
- A self-starter with the initiative to learn and grow
