Forestry Summer Students

We begin our recruitment of forestry summer students in October for the proceeding summer. Our job postings outline the different areas of work (silviculture, planning, and operations) and all the potential locations available for summer work. Our forestry recruitment team visits universities, colleges, and technical institutes to interview candidates in late October and early November.

Engineering Co-ops

Engineering co-op terms happen throughout the year in all areas of engineering.

Other Co-op terms and Internships

West Fraser has established programs for forestry and engineering students. However, each year the Company hires students in internship and co-op roles outside of these two areas. Available student co-op and internship opportunities are posted on the West Fraser job board. We also highlight new opportunities on employment websites with universities, colleges, and technical institutions.
