Treasury Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to join our dynamic team at a large public lumber company. As a Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of treasury, financial analysis, managing payments, updating banking documentation and drive process improvements and efficiencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our organization while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

You'll Do:

  • Perform cheque runs, process wire transfers, EFT and online tax payments.
  • Recommend foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies, and execute foreign exchange as required for the consolidated group
  • Identify opportunities to streamline cash management processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor bank fees, analyze bank statements, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes and provide recommendations for improving cash management.
  • Support continuous improvement, implementing changes that improve personal and team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in treasury operations or related roles, preferably within a large public company or the manufacturing industry.
  • Solid understanding of cash management principles, financial instruments, and risk management techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
  • High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

  • Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position is $74,800-$87,900, may vary depending on location, education, and relevant experience.
