The plant is located near the towns of Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe, in central Alberta.

Summer Students (May through August 2025)

Our applicants must currently be students and a minimum of 18 years old. You are confident operating industrial equipment, performing cleanup and working a shift schedule. Our Summer Student pay rate is competitive.

Our ideal candidates will possess:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Our West Fraser values (including integrity, humility, teamwork, frugality, innovation, competitiveness, and respect)
• The desire to learn, grow and succeed
• Industrial experience and post-secondary education would be considered an asset
• Commitment to safety

Blue Ridge is located near the growing, family-friendly community of Whitecourt, Alberta, and is a short one and half hour drive from Edmonton.  Our mill and forest operations form an integral part of the community, providing economic stability to employees and families that live in the Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe and Blue Ridge areas.
