Stores Counter Attendant

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will work in our mill stores department to issue stores material and maintain inventory.
You'll Do:
- Issue stores material as required, including inventory project, work order, and direct charge items
- Replenish stocks in "free issue" bins
- Take perpetual inventory counts
- Relieve outside stores person & receiver, when necessary
- Assist receiver in loading & unloading trucks
- Assist receiver in unpacking and checking quantity and condition of incoming material
- Put received material away in assigned storage bins or racks
- Check for and reports any discrepancies between material being put away and the balance of stock on hand
- Provide tagging or marking of received material where required
- Assist with departmental housekeeping
- Operate forklift truck as required
- Identify and eliminate safety hazards relating to material storage and material handling
- Other duties as assigned by the Stores Supervisor
You have:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Desire to learn, grow and succeed
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- A background in stores or parts warehousing with inventory experience
Considered an asset:
- Experience working in an industrial computerized environment
- Experience with inventory management systems, including Maximo
- Mobile equipment experience
Compensation Package:
- The hourly pay rate for this position will follow the collective agreement between Unifor 1115 and Cariboo Pulp & Paper Company. The current rate is $35.565/hour to start.
