Storeroom Clerk

Primary Responsibilities and Measurables (including but not limited to):

 

  • Receiving / unpacking supplies / parts from external vendors / suppliers (involves data entry into IVARA) same day as delivery.  Involves inspecting and counting all items received, checking items against invoices and other documents and submitting Non-Conformance Reports to the Stores Team Leader/ Purchaser to denote discrepancies.

 

  • Stocking items according to part number and resource and involves generating and accurately applying bin location labels to all items and sending MSDS information of new products to the library for filing.

 

  • Assisting employees to locate stocked items in the store room.  Involves training employees regarding ‘sign-out’ procedures and ensuring traveling bin cards are completed for removed items 100% of the time.

 

  • Processing stock item returns from employees.  Involves updating information into IVARA and restocking items within one business day.

 

  • Performing physical inventory counts in the storeroom on a weekly basis.  Involves reconciling against IVARA and adjusting IVARA item counts as required to accurately reflect stock numbers.

 

  • Communicating with Purchasing Requestors regarding expedited deliveries.  Involves informing Requesters regarding backorder requests as required.

 

  • Receiving invoices for services and contractors.  Involves entering into IVARA and filing accordingly.

 

  • Processing out-shipments for repairs and oil samples on a daily basis.

 

  • Performing daily storeroom housekeeping activities.

 

Knowledge:

 

  • 1+ years of storeroom, inventory and/or purchasing experience (preference towards experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment).
  • Knowledge regarding MRP Systems, Inventory systems
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office software.
  • Secondary education is preferred. Forklift experience required

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 50lbs. Work environment included mill and will be working in hot and cold temperatures.
