Planer Shift Supervisor

Planer Shift Supervisor
The Planer Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of safety and production of the planer mill, dry kilns, and shipping department. This role will be a member of the leadership team at the mill.
You'll do:
- Achieving production goals with the highest regard and adherence to employee safety
- Managing and motivating the hourly workforce in the assigned areas
- Effective evaluation and continuous improvement of processes
You'll need:
- At least one year of prior experience as a supervisor or lead
- Demonstrative safety leadership
- Excellent team-building and motivational skills
- Understanding of accounting and financial metrics for a mill operation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
These will make you stand out:
- Understands and demonstrates quality-control processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Lumber grading certification
- Wood products experience with any of the following: Planning, Sawmilling, Drying
Compensation Package:
