Operations and/or Roads Coordinator

You'll Do:
Based in 100 Mile House, and reporting to the Operations Superintendent, the Operations/Roads Coordinator will work within a team of professionals responsible for development and implementation of a forest road construction, maintenance, inspection and deactivation program as well as timber development and delivery activities. Within these roles, there is opportunity to enjoy a balanced mix of field and office work while living in the 100 Mile House area.
As an Operations/Roads Coordinator, you would be responsible for:
- Contractor logging and hauling coordination, log quality monitoring.
- Communication and implementation of site plans and assessments, as well as contractor safety and environmental monitoring through inspections.
- Developing road construction, maintenance, inspection, deactivation and/or reclamation plans
- Coordinating road and crossing/bridge construction, maintenance, and inspection programs
- Additional responsibilities may also include First Nations and government liaison, public referrals monitoring and implementation, contractor compliance with Safe Operating Procedures, SFI certifications and safety programs.
You have:
- Along with a relevant degree/diploma, the desirable applicant has 3-10 years related forestry operations experience and possess an RPF, RFT, or P. Eng, designation, or be eligible to earn this designation in BC.
- Be self-motivated and team oriented.
- Have demonstrated commitment to safety and responsible forest stewardship.
What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position is $85,000 and $111,000, may vary depending on location, education, and relevant experience.
