Indirect Tax Supervisor

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the supervision of US indirect tax process including compliance, audits, and opportunities within sales/use tax and property tax.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise the US indirect tax function process including:
    • Property tax compliance
    • Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual sales/ use tax compliance
    • Analytical reporting on indirect tax matters
  • Support indirect tax manager with state and local jurisdiction audits
  • Work with third party consultants and vendors supporting compliance and opportunity endeavors
  •  Become and remain knowledgeable in indirect taxation laws, regulations for all states of company’s operations
  • Stay current with legislation having impact on states of operation
  • Develop sales/use training materials for non-tax personnel
  • Review purchase transactions for proper application of sales/use tax
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of corporate experience in public accounting firm and/or in industry (manufacturing sales & use tax experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of and experience in preparing tax compliance
  • Bachelors in either Business, Finance, Accounting or CPA
  • Ability to research and interpret legislation, statutes, published materials governing US indirect tax concepts
  • Experience with indirect tax systems, accounting processes and systems
  • CPA/CMI is preferred
