GIS Application Analyst

As part of the IT group, this role will provide support, analysis, and development assistance for the Land Resource Manager (LRM) enterprise application which supports the woodland operations areas of the business. It will be your responsibility to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain reports, integrations and applications to support strategic initiatives and enhance business performance. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing data. You will also research, design, document, and modify specifications. You should have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and a willingness to troubleshoot technical issues.
You'll Do:
- Being a lead resource in projects implementing new technologies to support strategic initiatives
- Supporting Trimble LRM (Land Resource Manager) – An enterprise application for managing woodlands resources
- Leading in maintenance, support, and operational troubleshooting of systems and applications to continuously improve service availability
- Coordinating with key stakeholders for testing, enhancement, and upgrades of business systems
- Identifying opportunities for improvement with our timber management technologies and implementing them
- Integrating into a team of professionals motivated to use technology to give our organization a competitive advantage
- Defining technical solutions to business challenges
- Providing technical support for databases related to LRM including
- User and Security management
- Databases Tuning
- Data loading
You have:
- Four-year university or technical institute degree in the field of Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Enterprise application support and configuration experience
- A drive and ability to learn new technologies in short timeframes
- Systems integration, interface design, data conversion and solution architecture experience
- Moderate knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL Languages
- Basic knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft data migration and ETL tools
- JavaScript experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Well-established organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detailed and proactive approach to work
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS
- Experience with Python
- Experience with the Python library ArcPy is a plus
- Experience with XML is a plus
- Experience with Trimble LRM (Land Resource Manager) is a plus
What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position is $74,800 - $88,000, may vary depending on location, education, and relevant experience.
