Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Electrician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

What you will be doing:

  • Complete routes, PMS, emergency work orders, corrective work, Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs), safety procedures, shift coverage and ongoing training
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as conveyors and programmable equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of AC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLC systems (Allen-Bradley.), and Industrial Control Systems
  • Install, inspect and test electrical equipment and systems in accordance with local codes, standards, and best practices
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and systems updated
  • Operate on high voltage equipment and motors (4160V)
  • Execute FLHA (Floor Level Hazard Analysis) and sign for each job task
  • Accountable for tools used from the Tool Crib, along with keeping them clean, and returning them in a timely manner. They are responsible for reporting any missing, broken, or damaged tools to the stores department for repairing or replacing
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety practices, and use of personal protective equipment

What you need to be successful:

  • Journeyperson Electrician Certification 

Would be considered an asset:

  • Red Seal Electrician
  • 2-5 years of industrial electrical experience
  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, including programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure reliable automation
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints, equipment manuals, prints and schematics
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, ensuring clear understanding of electrical needs and project updates
  • Well organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks
  • Personal Commitment to safety
  • Experience in the forestry or manufacturing industry is considered an asset
