Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) is a versatile engineered wood product that is valued for its strength, durability and dimensional stability. LVL is produced by bonding thin wood veneers together in a large billet with all the veneers parallel in the long direction. LVL is utilized in various construction applications such as beams, headers, joists, rafters and columns.

West Fraser LVL is manufactured with wood fiber sourced from a variety of northern tree species that are noted for having tight growth rings, small knots and minimal shrinking and swelling.

Features

  • West Fraser LVL beams and headers support heavier loads and can span greater distances than conventional lumber of similar size.
  • LVL beams can be used individually or ganged together with up to four members, allowing for easier lifting on the job site to create large heavy-load supporting beams
  • LVL is the perfect complement to wood I-Joist framed floor systems.  Wood I-Joists are a good repetitive framing member sharing uniform loads, while LVL beams can carry the heavy concentrated loads where needed.
  • Responsibly-sourced, backed by forest certifications
  • Available in a range of standard and custom sizes
