100 Mile House 2017 Forest Stewardship Plans

Thompson Rivers Forest District

One Hundred Mile House Woodlands (OML) supplies logs to two sawmills, Chasm sawmill and 100 Mile Lumber. We are beginning our public review process for a proposed Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP). This FSP will cover our operations in the Thompson Rivers Forest District. An approved FSP guides the harvest of timber and construction of roads within a forest development unit (FDU).

Prior to submitting the new FSP for approval, OML is providing an opportunity for review and comment on the results and strategies outlined in the plan to address the following Objectives set by Government for:
a) soils;
b) visual quality;
c) timber;
d) water;
e) fish
f) wildlife;
g) biodiversity;
h) recreation resources;
i) cultural heritage resources;
j) Measures to mitigate loss of natural range barriers and to reduce introduction of invasive plants; and
j) other objectives established under the Forest and Range Practices Act that pertain to the area of the FSP.

In addition to the objectives established by Government under the Forest and Range Practices Act, this FSP also addresses land use objectives established by order from the Kamloops LRMP.

The Forest Stewardship can be obtained for review from the following links:
