Products & Applications

Bleached Chemical Thermo-Mechanical Pulp (BCTMP) pulps are used by paper manufacturers to produce printing and writing papers, paperboard products, tissue and towel products and a variety of other paper grades. The mechanical pulps produced at Quesnel River Pulp and Slave Lake Pulp are high-yield pulps that require approximately half of the wood required by the traditional kraft pulping process.

Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft (NBSK) is produced at the Hinton Pulp and Cariboo Pulp & Paper mills. NBSK is used by paper manufacturers to create a variety of paper products, including printing and writing papers and tissues. Cariboo Pulp & Paper is a joint venture that is 50% owned by West Fraser.
