Cariboo Forest Region 2018 Forest Stewardship Plans

Cariboo Forest Region

The Cariboo Forest Region encompasses three Timber Supply Areas (100 Mile TSA, Williams Lake TSA, & Quesnel TSA) that are governed by the Cariboo Chilcotin Land Use Plan. The Region supplies logs to four West Fraser-owned sawmills (Chasm sawmill, 100 Mile Lumber, Williams Lake Sawmill, and Quesnel Sawmill), 2 West Fraser-owned Plywood Plants (Williams Lake Plywood, Quesnel Plywood), 2 Pulp Mills owned on whole or in part by West Fraser (Quesnel River Pulp, Cariboo Pulp), a west Fraser owned Remanufacturing plant (Quesnel Laminators), and an MDF plant (WestPine MDF). We are beginning our public review process for a proposed Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP). This FSP will cover our operations in the 100 Mile TSA, Williams Lake TSA, & Quesnel TSA. An approved FSP guides the harvest of timber and construction of roads within a forest development unit (FDU).
