Search Tips
  • Searching with less words will often yield a greater result set. General queries will garner more results (which may seem daunting at first); but on the other hand, you might miss something important by being too specific.

  • Multi-word searches operate as "AND" type queries. This means that if you enter "Pine Beetle" into a search textbox (omitting the quotes) you will actually be searching for all documents that contain the words "Pine" AND "Beetle" - but not necessarily right next to each other. To search for the words in sequence, you must place the phrase into quotes ("Pine Beetle") and then the space between the words will be treated as part of the overall search expression, instead of a logical "AND" operator.
