Folding Boxboard	BCTMP in the center plies of high quality folding boxboard provides high bulk and stiffness. QRP softwood pulps are designed to provide maximum bulk with good tensile strength, ply bond, and smoothness relative to other market softwoods. Both QRP and SLP hardwood pulps provide high bulk with excellent formation and smoothness.	Click the logos for more information.
P&W Coated	BCTMP in coated papers increases caliper and opacity. Both SLP aspen and QRP softwood can be used in coated mechanical and coated woodfree applications to provide excellent formation, high opacity, and furnish cost reductions. Basis weight reductions are possible for fixed caliper grades.
P&W Uncoated	Our high performance pulps provide an excellent balance of opacity, formation, and strength. For sheet fed applications, such as high speed copiers, the caliper increase from BCTMP results in high paper bending stiffness which is crucial for runnability. BCTMP bulk gain can also be used to offset caliper loss from the use of high filler and/or recycled fibre loads.
Tissue & Towel	High freeness, high yield, softwood BCTMP is used for tissue and towel applications to provide bulk and absorbency. Quesnel River Pulp has developed a unique process to produce very high freeness, low fines, low extractives softwood pulps used to provide very consistent sheet properties in higher quality kitchen towels. Ranger (Aspen) BCTMP, from Slave Lake can be used for cost control in tissue applications.
Mechanical Printing Grades	Low freeness softwood grades are used as furnish extenders or to replace pulp from outdated stone or refiner mills. A portion of the reinforcement chemical pulp may also be replaced. These pulps provide consistent quality at various freeness and brightness levels. Specific grades are developed to suit individual paper machine needs.
