	An average white pine can produce about 30,000 seeds (1 bushel or 35 litres) in a good year. BC's forest land covers 60 million hectares (149 million acres) - more than four times the size of New York state. Of this, 37 million hectares (90 million acres or 60% of the total forest land) will not be harvested. The average Canadian uses one 30-metre (33 yard) tree each year for lumber, plywood, particle board, cardboard and paper products.
