Forestry endeavors and forest workers contribute $4 billion annually to government revenues. That's equal to the entire Kindergarten to Grade 12 education budget in BC. In BC, the pulp and paper industry has put 26,700 sheep to work as forest managers. Rather than using herbicides, the industry lets the sheep clean up 6,573 hectares of forest by removing vegetation that competes with replanted seedlings.
