CHIEF STEAM ENGINEER
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Chief Steam Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Steam Plant including two 40,000-lb/hr Hog Fired Boilers and Steam Systems in our Plywood Plant in Williams Lake, B.C.
The responsibilities will also include the maintenance and improvements to the Steam Plant. The Plywood Plant runs continuously 7 days a week with state of the art equipment and producing 260m sq ft of 3/8 plywood per year. The Chief Steam Engineer will utilize a crew compliment of 13.
The successful candidate must have a 2nd Class ticket, several years of “hands-on” maintenance experience, and be a self-starter who gets along well with others. This is a salary position with a comprehensive wage and benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan.
