West Fraser Mills Ltd. Sundre Division is currently looking for a Silviculture Technician for a 12 month term. This position offers a challenging, diverse and exciting opportunity to become part of our resource management team. We are looking for a candidate who can manage a full range of responsibilities in a cost effective manner while working in a team environment. Candidates must be eligible for registration with one of the Alberta Professional Forestry colleges.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree or diploma from an accredited Forestry program
- A strong focus on safety
- A minimum of 8 months previous field work experience. Experience in Silviculture an asset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient use of MS Office, TFM and ArcGIS software
- ATV and 4x4 vehicle operation experience
Candidates must also be registered or be eligible to register with the Association of British Columbia Forest Professionals.
