RANGER BOARD is a division of WEST FRASER Mills, an integrated wood products producer with manufacturing facilities in north central Alberta near the Towns of Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt. The plant site has modern facilities for the production of Lumber and MDF board.

An opening exists in the Ranger Board MDF complex for a Shift Electrician. As a member of the Electrical and Instrumentation team you must demonstrate safe working habits in the repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of all electrical and instrumentation equipment to provide an environment for achieving safety and production goals.

Candidates must have an Alberta or Inter-provincial Journeyman Electrical Certificate. Plant maintenance experience, familiarity with PLC’s, instrumentation experience, Mitsubishi Variable Frequency Drives and computer literacy would be an asset.

The successful candidate must be willing to work rotation shift work and function well within a team system where high value is placed on individuals and teams accepting responsibility and accountability for achieving defined goals. Instrumentation training can be provided as an apprenticeship.
