Pacific Inland Resources (a division of West Fraser Mills Ltd.) is currently looking to fill a 4 month term position within our Forestry department. This position offers a challenging, diverse and exciting opportunity to become part of our resource management team. Job duties will fall primarily within our Planning Department with some exposure to Operations, and Silviculture and will require extensive field time and may include some camp time. Specific job duties will depend on experience of candidates but may include a combination of the following:
- Road inspections and grass seeding,
- Block and road layout,
- Block and road GPSing,
- Riparian classification and ribboning,
- Timber Reconnaissance, and
- Timber Cruising
Successful candidates should be competent, enthusiastic and capable of working in a team environment. Preference will be given to those candidates with forestry and/or outdoor related experience and/or are studying in a Forestry Technician or Forest Resource Management Degree program.
