| Area Engineer |
In this role the successful candidate will report to the Engineering Superintendent and work
closely with the operating departments providing mechanical expertise on daily issues. You will
also assist with process optimization and provide project management for capital and major
maintenance projects.
A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and at least 3 years’ related industrial experience
would be essential to achieve success in this role. Knowledge of rotating equipment such as
pumps, drums, washers, refiners and paper machines would be a great asset. Responsibilities
would include scope and cost development for assigned projects and management of both,
working with outside engineering or consulting firms on various projects, design modification
improvement opportunities, and co-ordination of project implementation and commissioning with
operations personnel.
