We require an Engineer to manage capital, maintenance and equipment reliability projects. Specific duties can include project management, construction management, root cause investigation, development and maintenance of inspection plans, feasibility studies, design engineering, material specification, estimating, and development of budgets and requests for financing. The ideal candidates will possess a (preferably mechanical) Engineering Degree. Strong interpersonal and self-management skills are required, plus the ability to work either independently or as a team member. Experience with Microsoft Project or Maximo and AutoCAD would also be an asset. This position has advancement potential in Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering. Candidates having experience in Pulp & Paper or other heavy industry will be preferred with experience in boiler, pressure vessel & piping code work or building component structural assessments considered an asset. Familiarity with risk-based inspection and fitness-for-service concepts will also be recognized during the evaluation process. Cariboo Pulp is a 975 tonne per day Market Pulp Mill producing high quality Northern Bleached Softwood Pulp and is a partnership with Daishowa-Marubeni International of Japan and Westfraser Timber Company.
