This is a difficult and stressful time for many of our employees who have been displaced or otherwise affected by the B.C. wildfires. There is a tremendous amount of information and resources available to assist our employees (and others) impacted by B.C. fires. Below is some important information for employees.

Employment Insurance Information
Please start an Employment Insurance Claim by visiting any local Employment Office (Service Canada) or click here to file a claim online.
Please use the reference code 5986012017071017 to identify yourself as affected by the wildfires.
You do not require a Record of Employment prior to filing your claim. Records of Employment for all employees not currently working are being prepared by West Fraser’s payroll group and will be filed electronically on your behalf.
West Fraser Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
During this challenging time, an EFAP 'hotline' has been made available by West Fraser through Walmsley and Associates. The 24/7 'hotline' is a confidential counselling service for employees and their dependents. Service can be provided via telephone or in-person as the situation requires. Existing EFAP resources continue where available.

This has been a very challenging time for our employees and families that are impacted by the fires. I am very proud of our employees who have worked tirelessly to protect our mills, fight forest fires and support each other.
