Reliability Operations Specialist
Hinton Pulp is striving to improve operational, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation reliability. The role of the reliability department is to develop/implement best practices, systems, equipment design, etc. to help support our operational and maintenance departments achieve excellence in reliability.
The reliability department has an opening for a Reliability Operations Specialist. Candidates should have supervisory experience. We are looking for a person who has a strong ability to lead cross functional teams, has good process knowledge, can drive projects/processes ahead despite competing priorities, persists in seeing solutions implemented, will challenge existing systems/processes, can do what they are told cannot be done, will work closely with mill operations, and can work on several items simultaneously. This position reports to the Reliability Manager.
Some of the initiatives for this role are:
- Key driver of operator basic care process
- Root Cause Analysis leader
- Asset management leader
- Develop failure prevention plans for our most critical assets sitewide
- Drive excellence in housekeeping
- Work with operations to ensure all necessary startup procedures exist
- Developer/owner of winterization plan.
