The position is located at the Leola, Arkansas, sawmill operation. The Electrical Technician will report to the Maintenance Superintendent. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for training others in troubleshooting, correcting, and maintaining all electrical equipment within the manufacturing facility, with an emphasis on teaching the manufacturing process and proper safety and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment using programmable logic controllers
  • Identify objects using electrical control schematics
  • Install variable frequency drives
  • Oversee hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Manage various optimization systems

Required skills and experience include:

  • Lock-Out Procedures
  • Field Level Hazard Risk Assessments (FLHRA)
  • Electrical circuitry and components, including circuit breakers, motors and controllers
  • Control devices
  • Motor theory
  • Rigging
  • Precision alignments
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Predictive and preventative maintenance
  • Work orders and purchasing systems
  • Able to operate simple and complex heavy industrial machinery
  • Computer and PLC skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and to understand proper use, including multi-meters
  • Able to work nights and rotating shifts
  • Knowledge of 480 Volt 3 Phase AC


  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
